During this beautiful authentic backcountry trip in the East of Kazakhstan you will find yourself in the very heart of the magical Western Altai mountains. Kotyrbulak gorge is 40 km far from Almaty, well-known because of Pioneer ski resort located in it’s amazingly beautiful gorge. It will be the start point of backcountry route with the view to Bukreev peak so far, named in honor of the famous Kazakhstan mountaineer Anatoliy Bukreev.

You will feel the spiritual power of ancient nomads when find yourself in traditional Kazakh yurt, surrounded by huge impressive glaciers with panoramic view to Almaty city. It’s a good chance to test yourself at altitudes more than 4000 meters and leave your trace on the wild untouched slopes of Tien-Shan mountains.
