Let’s take a break from mobile connection, enjoy virgin nature, starry sky, authentic ski touring and freeriding on untouched slopes without using any lifts and motorized machines, only climbing skins and human power. Tau Turgen Gorge is a quite remore area located in the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountain Range on the territory of the National Park Ile Alatau. Local terrain is friendly for riders with skill level from beginner to pro. Elevation range 1800-3200 meters with highest point in peak Bakhtiyar 3200 meters high. The area is rarely visited by people in winter, so you can be sure that no one will disturb your peace and you can fully enjoy the atmosphere of wilderness and authenticity while staying in the yurt like a real nomad.

During this beautiful authentic backcountry trip in the East of Kazakhstan you will find yourself in the very heart of the magical Western Altai mountains. You will be living in the taiga forest in a cozy warm house with a Russian sauna and delicious home cuisine, touring and freeriding in the tree zone among cedars and larches, enjoying the natural taste of rowanberries and having fun in a magnificent soft and deep powder.

You will feel the spiritual power of ancient nomads when find yourself in traditional Kazakh yurt, surrounded by huge impressive glaciers with panoramic view to Almaty city. It’s a good chance to test yourself at altitudes more than 4000 meters and leave your trace on the wild untouched slopes of Tien-Shan mountains.

Only one hour from Almaty city and you will find yourself in another Universe, on the Snow Planet called “Cosmo-station”. It’s a unique place, where Tien-Shan alpine scientific station of cosmic rays and high energies researching is located and where you can get high-quality freeride not far from the city in spring and summer time.
