About the tour:

Set sail for one of the most remote and spectacular freeride frontiers on Earth – Kamchatka, the wild, volcanic peninsula rising from the edge of the Pacific Ring of Fire. This ski & sail expedition combines alpine touring with ocean exploration, active volcanoes, untouched snow, and remote fjords only accessible by sea. From the fiery flanks of Avachinsky to the wind-sculpted coastlines of the Bering Sea, this journey delivers deep lines, volcanic descents, and raw beauty – far from civilization and deep in nature.

Itinerary:

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – Avacha Bay – coastline of southern Kamchatka – Avacha Bay – Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

Day by day Schedule:

Day 1

Welcome to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky! We will meet you at the airport, take you to the hotel, and after some rest, we will all gather for dinner to discuss the upcoming program and check our gear.

Day 2-3

We start the expedition skiing and boarding near the city, with epic views over Avacha Bay and its surrounding volcanoes. Day 1 will be lift-accessed skiing and boarding; Day 2 we head deeper into the backcountry by snowcat to access bigger terrain.

Day 4

We will move onto our yacht, have a safety briefing, and begin our voyage. On this day, we will leave Avacha Bay and set off to explore the wild and unexplored shores of Kamchatka.

Day 5-9

Five full days of ski touring with breathtaking fjord views await. We will travel between the most coveted spots, soak up the spring sunshine, watch marine wildlife, and discover the unique and mysterious world of the Russian Far East. And, of course, we’ll enjoy relaxing and having fun in the evenings on the yacht.

Day 10

We will return to Avacha Bay, say “goodbye” to the captain, and check into a hotel in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. To unwind after our active days on the sea and on the slopes, we’ll head to the hot springs.

Day 11

On our final full day, we will go on a tour of local sights: wild beaches, stunning views, and dog-sledding. In the evening, we’ll have a festive dinner, share our impressions, and celebrate the end of our expedition.

Day 12

End of the program, departure from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Clothing and equipment

– repair kit (spare parts and tools for adjustment and repair your bindings, duct tape, rubber straps)

– adaptor for outlet charging, if needed (220V 50Hz European outlet)

– ski touring/splitboarding set

Food:
– individual snacks (muesli, protein, chocolate of other bars, dry fruits and nuts, special mount nutrition and etc.)

Services included in the package:

1. Airport transfers and local transportation.
2. Hotel accommodation with breakfast (Days 1–3, 10–11).
3. Yacht accommodation and all onboard meals (Days 4–9).
4. All environmental and ecological fees.
5. All documentation and permits for the sailing voyage. 
6. Drinks during sailing on the yacht.
7. Professional English-speaking skiing guide.
8. Snowcat-access skiing & boarding on Day 3.
9. Excursions and dog sledding on Day 11.

Ski pass for resort skiing in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Services does not included in the package:

1. Rental of ski and avalanche equipment.
2. Meals and drinks not indicated in the program and/or not included into the tour price.
3. Visa support and registration on the territory of Russia, if required.
4. Personal expenses and other expenses not indicated in the program.
5. Insurance policy (mandatory).
6. International flights to/from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Please, note:

Best for intermediate, advanced or expert riders with previous backcountry / alpine touring experience. 

Conditions can change rapidly: snowpack stability, weather, avalanche risk will be monitored continuously and the itinerary adjusted as needed.

All participants must have comprehensive travel insurance that includes: emergency medical coverage, air evacuation by helicopter, off-piste and ski touring activity coverage, trip cancellation and interruption.
